In a recent survey of brides married in 2009 conducted by WEVA international:
Revealed that brides in the planning process of the wedding do not immediately realize the impact of a professionally-produced video. Before the wedding, while brides are making plans, over half (68%) rank video as one of the Top 10 most important bridal services. This number increases to 88% AFTER the wedding. Before the wedding, 52% of brides view video as a Top 5 service. After the wedding, that number climbs to 77%. The value of video becomes greater after the wedding. And, after the wedding, 97% of these brides say they consider professional videography at least a Top 10 service.
As brides look back at their wedding, 98% of brides who utilized a professional videographer feel future brides should consider using a professional videographer.
The survey results reveal professional videography has become very important to today's brides. Its value is comparable to wedding photography, and even more valuable in some respects, according to brides surveyed. Most importantly, the survey showed that brides feel more emphasis needs to be placed on videography in the wedding planning process.
Question: Why should we choose a videographer over a friend?
Answer: We are professionals, and have HD 3ccd Panasonic cameras for better lighting and color. Also, we use 3 cameras for better angles. One on the bride, one on the groom, and one from back center on both the bride and groom. Our software is professional, with smooth transitions and effects. We use professional tripods, for smooth videos, no shaking cameras.
Question: Is a video really worth the money.
Answer: We think so. Your wedding day is so hectic, there is so much going on, you will be surprised to see what you really missed. I can't count the number of brides who have called to tell us they had no idea all that we videoed was really going on. They were so wrapped up in their day. You not only see your wedding, but hear it along with your vows being exchanged, loud and clear with our professional Sennheiser wireless mics. We use 3 to 4 of them also. One on the minister, one on the groom, and one on the podium where they may be a reader or singer. We shoot behind the photographer and put together a Video Photo Shoot of all your bridal party and family settings. We add music of your choice and transitions and effects. You also see and hear everything at the reception. Loud and clear. All the toasts, the cake cutting, the garter removal, the bouquet toss, and all the dances.
Question: How long have you been in business.
Answer: Very important question. We started in 2004, and we are a family ran business. We have no overhead, since we work out of our home. This keeps the prices low as you can see.
Question: How is the video edited.
Answer: We use Sony Vegas Pro 9. The latest and newest technology is non-linear editing (on a computer). It is not unusual for us to spend between 30-40 plus hours on the computer editing a wedding. There are some who do not use this latest technology of editing, and the quality is much less than non-linear editing. We charge no more for using this latest technology.
Question: What other services and/or special effects do you offer.
Answer: Some examples are childhood/dating photo montage, bridal preparations, love story video (the two of you describing how you met, etc.), short-form video, hi-lite video, rehearsal coverage, big screen presentation, etc. We use special effects such as black & white, sepia-toned, slow-motion, animation, one color video (Pleasantville Effect), etc. There are many options to choose from!
Question: What do you present your video on.
Answer: Our Panasonic HD 3ccd chip cameras make High Definition and DVD Digital format movies. We present all our videos on Blu-Ray discs or Standard DVD discs, in 5.1 Digital Dolby Surround Sound. They are presented in deluxe cases with your names, dates and pictures on the front and back of case. The DVD itself has a background printed on it along with your names, dates and name of DVD. We use only professional Blu-Ray and DVD media that allows printing. This media we use is very compliant with DVD players. 100% guaranteed to play on your dvd or Blu-Ray player.
Question: Are you unobtrusive.
Answer: Yes, we are very unobtrusive. You will hardly notice we are there. The only time we need lighting is at the reception, when the lights go down. We use a Canon light on our camera which helps brighten the video. We try to keep this at a minimum.
Question: Do you include interviews, and if so do you force anyone to speak.
Answer: Yes, we include interviews at no extra charge. We never force anyone to talk, we only ask and if they are uncomfortable, we move on. We would never embarrass anyone while interviewing.
